Explore HOLT

A stones throw away from Briston is the award winning Georgian town of Holt with its small squares, narrow streets and array of independent shops.

The 'Owl Trail' can be followed, giving information on the history of the buildings, obelisks and memorials that adorn this most attractive Norfolk town. The famous Gresham's School, founded in 1555 and home to  the Auden Theatre, is situated between the town and railway station, southern terminus of The North Norfolk Railway. Also known as the 'Poppy Line', it boasts a number of working steam and diesel locomotives, plying their trade on the 5 mile stretch, to and from Sheringham. Annual events including Holt Festival1940s Weekend and the Christmas Lights, draw large crowds each year and are great events for all the family.

Holt is also home to our two partner shops: The Tannery offers a vast selection of fine quality leather goods, carefully sourced from traditional workshops across Europe; Pollard & Read offer an extensive range of carefully chosen brands of lingerie, nightwear and swimwear.
